I did not set out to paint something for my grandmother when I painted this painting. It was purely intended to be abstract. However, when I was done, it brought up memories of my grandmother - perhaps it looks a little like her sofa which was covered in a flowered fabric. Whatever the reason, it still evokes fond memories of my Grannie.
